With the new year barely started, several homeowners we've chatted with lately are "under construction" with either new home projects or existing home renovations. A common theme for these people is they've decided to add Hy-Lite acrylic block windows to their homes.
Bathroom Charm
"We're renovating our master bathroom and had used a Hy-Lite window previously in the same room," says homeowner R. Summers. "As part of our remodel we needed to move the acrylic block window, and unfortunately our contractor broke it. We loved the look and feel so much of that window that we ordered a new one to keep the same warm feeling in our new bathroom."
According to Summers, the acrylic block window brings natural light into the bathroom without them worrying about opening and closing blinds for privacy. "This Hy-Lite window adds a lot of value to the overall feel of our home," says Summers. "We're very happy with the results and the high quality."
Focal Point Window
A master bathroom remodel is also underway currently for the Brandt family. Their plans include installing a free-standing tub with a waterfall faucet in front of it … plus an operable Hy-Lite acrylic block window.
"My wife and I already love our new window," says Mike Brandt. "The decision to add this window went from something we weren't even considering to a focal point of our upgrade plans. It's the only completed portion of the renovation so far and we really feel positive about our choice."
Window in Shower Setting
For the Borofka family, a complete new home project is underway. Their new acrylic block window has been installed in a walk-in shower in the master bathroom.
"We knew that we needed privacy because the window placement would be in a shower room," says Erin Borofka. "We wanted the glass block 'look' and also needed to be able to get open-air ventilation into the bathroom. The operable acrylic block window was the ideal solution for architectural charm and maintenance-free living.
"My husband is a carpenter and was happy that the acrylic block window installed easily and was lightweight. Overall, we're really happy that there's a company like Hy-Lite that makes an acrylic block window that is both energy efficient and beautiful!"
